  • Please check the availability of the exam before registering, as exams will close when full or when the registration deadline has passed.
  • In the event of exam cancellation/rescheduling/updates:  DMH reserves the right to cancel/reschedule any scheduled examination.    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, upcoming exam days may have to be cancelled/rescheduled (or exam day modification updates made) in accordance with CDC and MSDH guidelines in place at the time of testing. (Inclement weather or other possible occurrences could also result in exam cancellation/rescheduling.)  Exam registrants will be notified by email if an exam is cancelled/rescheduled or if any exam day updates need to be made.  Notification of cancellation/rescheduling/exam day updates could be provided as late as 8:00 a.m. the morning of the scheduled exam. Exam registrants and their staff development officers (SDOs) should check their emails 24 hours prior to the scheduled exam time as well as the morning of the scheduled exam.  DMH also recommends that exam registrants/SDOs periodically check the PLACE page of the DMH website, as well as the DMH Facebook page, for any updates.
  • Please contact the Division of PLACE at the Department of Mental Health at 601-359-1288 or place@dmh.ms.gov should you have questions or need additional information.
