Additional Public Comment Open for Proposed DMH Operational Standard Revisions

An additional public comment period is open regarding the proposed revisions to the DMH Operational Standards.
On June 21, 2024, DMH filed proposed revisions to the 2020 DMH Operational Standards with the Secretary of State’s Office, designated as System Number 27554. The public comment period for this filing ended on July 16, 2024. DMH has reviewed the submitted feedback from the first public comment period and made additional revisions. The proposed revisions to the 2020 DMH Operational Standards are now available on the Mississippi Secretary of State’s website for a second public comment period. For the ease of identifying revisions, a mark-up copy and clean copy of the DMH Operational Standards are included in one document available for your review. Please note that this document only incorporates changes that were made after the first public comment period. The revisions outlined in System Number 27554 are in this version but are not underlined. Follow the instructions below to access the proposed revisions:

- Click on the “Search” button at the bottom of the Administrative Bulletin Search box
- Click “Search Administrative Bulletin.”
- Utilize the drop-down menu under “Agency Search” and select “Title 24: Department of Mental Health.”
The proposed revisions to the 2020 DMH Operational Standards are designated as System Number
27653. Click “Full Text” on the right-hand side of the page to view the clean copy and mark-up copy,
which are combined as one document. This public comment period will close on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Comments must be received by this deadline, or they will not be considered. Please submit comments via email
to certification@dmh.ms.gov and include the rule number and the page number in your submission.
