IDD Programs
The Department of Mental Health operates regional programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a specialized program for adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These programs serve designated counties or service areas and offer residential services, licensed homes for community living, and other community services. community living and/or community services.
The types of services offered through the programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities vary according to location but statewide include ICF/IID residential services, psychological services, social services, diagnostic and evaluation services, speech/occupational/physical therapy, employment-related services, and community services programs.
Boswell Regional Center
Clint Ashley is the Director of Boswell Regional Center. Boswell Regional Center is an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) operated by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. The department’s regional ICF/IID programs serve designated counties or service areas. Boswell Regional Center is located in Magee, MS and serves the southwestern area of the state. DMH’s programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities provide residential services and/or licensed homes for community living.
Mississippi Adolescent Center
Renee Burton is the Director of Mississippi Adolescent Center. Mississippi Adolescent Center is a specialized program for adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located in Brookhaven, MS, MAC the center can provide services to adolescents from throughout the state. Mississippi Adolescent Center is considered a satellite program of Boswell Regional Center.
Hudspeth Regional Center
Jerrie Barnes is the Director of Hudspeth Regional Center. Hudspeth Regional Center is an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) operated by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. The department’s regional ICF/IID programs serve designated counties or service areas. Hudspeth Regional Center is located in Whitfield, MS in Rankin County and serves counties in western and central Mississippi. DMH’s programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities provide residential services and/or licensed homes for community living.
Ellisville State School
Rinsey McSwain is the Director of Ellisville State School is an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) operated by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. Ellisville State School is located in Ellisville, MS and serves counties in southeastern and central Mississippi. South Mississippi Regional Center
Cindy Cooley is the Director of South Mississippi Regional Center.
